Инспекция или сюрвей - это, как правило, осмотр чего-либо. На сегодня инспектор — это эксперт, обычно имеющий техническое образование. В спорных ситуациях клиенты часто обращается к юристам за поддержкой, но сложно выиграть спор, если отсутствуют независимый эксперт и подтверждающие документы. Ведь то, что может произойти с грузом в процессе его транспортировки, перевалки, хранения, не может быть оценено технически правильно даже самым грамотным юристом. Правильно выстроить процесс защиты, грамотно отклонять чужие претензии и обоснованно выставлять свои — все это возможно только при участии независимых экспертов. Инспекторы проводят необходимые замеры и расчеты, фото и видео наблюдение, собирают соответствующие документы и советуют клиенту, какие шаги предпринять, чтобы ситуация была взята под контроль и возможные убытки были минимальными.
Когда вопрос решается цивилизованно, то в торговой цепи часто встречаются одновременно несколько инспекторов из разных компаний. Это могут быть эксперты и от перевозчика, и от продавца, и от получателя, и от порта, а также ото всех вовлеченных сторон.
Каждый инспектор работает независимо и выпускает отчет для своего клиента, в котором отмечает последовательно развитие событий, свидетелем которых он был лично, а также анализирует сложившуюся ситуацию, прикладывая к отчету все необходимые документы. Инспектор не является следователем, не занимается поиском виновных или возвратом потерянных средств. Инспектор, прежде всего, независимый свидетель и грамотный специалист. Он фиксирует ситуацию, делает необходимые расчеты и оценки и собирает соответствующие документы. Все собранные данные тщательно проверяются, насколько это позволяют обстоятельства и требуется клиентом. После этого, имея на руках максимум возможной информации, инспектор проводит необходимый анализ ситуации и заносит все это в отчет, который и передается клиенту. - производство расчетов погруженного/разгруженного/находящегося количества груза в соответствии с ГОСТ, ASTM, другими стандартами;
- приготовление представительных композитных образцов груза;
- осуществление контроля качества грузов путем анализа представительных образцов (проб) груза и освидетельствование анализов груза в сторонних лабораториях;
- проведение особых видов сюрвейерских работ по сухим, насыпным и другим подобным видам грузов;
а также, другие необходимые клиенту и согласованные с нами виды сюрвейерских работ (услуг).

All data collected is carefully checked as far as circumstances permit and is required by the client. After that, having on hand a maximum of possible information, the inspector conducts the necessary analysis of the situation and records all of this in a report, which is transmitted to the client.
